The Opportunity
We are looking for hands-on security engineers with a passion for vulnerability management.  Together with the team, you will take ownership of the Vulnerability Management scanning environment, helping to drive best practices and generate timely, clean, and accurate vulnerability scans to the business and assist in driving agile and timely patching.

We are looking for someone with:
  • 3+ years of direct Qualysguard administration experience.
  • 1+ year of Carbon Black Administration.
  • Certifications such as GIAC Security Essentials (GSEC), GIAC Web Application Penetration Tester (GWAPT)or CompTIA Security +.
  • Understanding of a variety of technical concepts with focus on cloud computing, automation, networking, systems administration, database administration, application development, and information security best practices.
  • Experience with data metrics & normalization with the ability to provide qualitative & quantitative analysis and recommendations.
  • Excellent attention to detail, data accuracy, and data analysis.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and/or project ownership skills.
  • Ability to develop excellent working relationships with a variety of other enabling teams.
  • Self-motivated and operates with a high sense of urgency and a high level of integrity.

Nice to haves:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cyber Security, or related discipline.
  • Professional experience in Information Security.
  • Vulnerability & white listing solutions such as Qualys and Carbon Black
  • Intermediate to Proficient in leveraging APIs.
  • Fundamental understanding of OWASP Top 10 Web application Security Risks
  • Previous experience working in large scale environments with diverse technologies including Cloud technologies.
  • Strong understanding of networks and networking troubleshooting.
  • Diverse Hybrid Cloud Computing
  • Understanding of Automation and API integrations
  • Familiarity of TCP/IP and associated protocols.
  • Understanding of Diverse Operating systems such as Windows, Unix-based OS’ (to include AIX, Linux flavors, and MacOS).

On the job you will:
  • Care and feed the Vulnerability Management Qualysguard environment
  • Maintain the asset database
  • Run scheduled and ad-hoc scans
  • Fine Tune performance of the environment
  • Report to the business and ensure the ongoing comprehensive coverage of vulnerability scans
