Business Function
Corporate and Investment Banking provides corporate customers with a full range of commercial banking products and services, including cash management services, current accounts, time deposits, trade finance, working capital finance, term loans and foreign exchange. Position Summary and Objective
  • Business Banking Loan Product Owner (mostly secured loans and programmatic lending)
  • Responsible for overall loans products and ensure superiority of product offering vis a vis market
  • Challenge current offerings and process to champion best in market solutions
  • Ensure healthy NPL in portfolio and compliance in policy updating, audit reviews etc

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive preference through product and process innovation and enhancement of proposition while ensuring full compliance of product and pricing offers with regulatory and compliance policies
  • Designs and owns the loan product roadmap, including ongoing management and delivery of commercial lending initiatives and releases
  • Ownership of end to end process, to optimize process and systems for best customer experience and turnaround time
  • Drives the profitability of loans by analysing and enhancing existing products to maximise ROE, ensure competitive products and meets market/customers needs
  • Experiment pre-approved lending using alternative data
  • Develop an effective digital sales channel via a new customer self-serve channel
  • Develop new lending products
  • Build an effective engagement model to partner all sales channels including aligning loan sales targets, go to market strategies, structures and provide support in sales challenges and campaigns
  • Study competitive landscape of lending based on different segments - local and international landscapes, banks and non-bank including NBFIs, virtual banks and Fintechs
  • Design, implement and own end to end data points in the whole lending journey process, and develop critical insights backed by data to continuously sharpen offerings
  • Champion product bundling and risk based pricing formulating pricing strategies across various loan tenures/types/customer archetypes
  • Build long term instrumentation, monitoring, and evaluation capabilities for product performance, tracking and insight analysis
  • Portfolio analytics to ensure good credit portfolio
  • Ensure 100% compliance to credit policies and lead lending portfolio audit reviews

  • Proven technical understanding of product management in commercial lending
  • Commercial credit certified and/or experience in commercial lending
  • Proven experience in delivering business results with a pattern of achieving/exceeding short and long term goals
  • Passionate and curious about technology-driven world, and is empathetic to solving our customers needs
