  • This position provides technical leadership for manufacturing technologies to the CCB China JV production plants / sites, e.g. process innovation, optimization, capex.

Main Tasks:
  • Global technology contact for CCB China JV production sites
  • Steers complex innovation projects and topics within the phase gate process, manages resources and budget drives the realization of process improvements together with operations. Initiates and develops process innovation pipeline
  • Leads development of global concepts for process safety and occupational health and implements together with operations, and BASF global functions. Supports Clean Sheets Safety Reviews and RC audit
  • Leads development/optimization of technical concepts and supports capex projects within CCB
  • Analyses the IP situation (in- and external cost and technology benchmarks). Evaluates the options for the introduction of new products and technologies into production. Maintain database of trade secrets
  • Leads development/optimization of technical concepts and supports capex projects within CCB
  • Expert and consultant for site decision, production footprint optimizations and transfer projects
  • Leads the development and implementation of technology and asset strategies for GBU's

  • Education: Bachelor's degree or above. Major for chemistry, chemical engineering and technology
  • Working Experience: 5-10 years experience in a technical discipline (preferably operations, R&D, and/or technology)
  • Technical & Professional Knowledge: Chemical (battery material) knowledge, technology and economy
