Job Description

Department of Anatomical and Cellular Pathology

The appointee will work in a diagnostics and research team at the Prince of Wales Hospital in Shatin, and will (a) participate in research and development of diagnostic tests (b) implement and test new computational algorithms (c) provide assistance in performance optimisation of the data analysis workflow and (d) prepare technical documentation.
Applicants should have (i) a Bachelor&rsquos degree in Biological Science or Computer Science, preferably a Master&rsquos degree in related disciplines (ii) a good knowledge of and solid experience in analysing next-generation sequencing data (iii) experience in C++, Java, OOP and/or Python and (iv) experience in Linux administration and multithread programming or CUDA. Experience in handling cancer genome data will be advantageous.
Appointment will initially be made on a 1-year contract, renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.
