Job Description
The supply chain manager will be the point of contact from Supply Chain organization supporting Client Computing PC platforms on key aspects of components ecosystem enablement related initiatives. The supply chain manager will be responsible for but not limited to: - Work closely with counterpart in Business Units, Sales and Marketing, Component commodities and suppliers to ensure that component supply chain optimize capacity, cost and customer services aligned with BU growth objectives. - Supply Assurance. Drive material availabilities to achieve PRC ODM business revenue goals. Focus on key third party components (PD, Audio, USB type C, EC, Memory, Display etc) to ensure no scaling limiters. Proactively work with Sales team, BU and suppliers for risks and mitigation plan. - Source third party component suppliers partnering with stakeholders for key areas of innovation or enablement such as Hinge, thermal solutions, ISP and TCON etc. Get supplier's resource commitment, RFI/RFQ and manage their deliverables up to BU's expectation. - Engage at concept/early development stages of Master Reference Design or co-engineering program. Provide suggestions for landing zone definition and key component selection based on market intelligence, long term analysis of the commodity category and the supply ecosystem. Acquire and maintain industry, market, and the technical knowledge/intelligence of PC components. - Support new design-win programs Time-to-Market. Be the escalation point of critical material shortages as customer has exhausted their efforts. Leverage supply chain network influence to get the parts for pilot build or ramp where applicable. - Drive cost-saving opportunities in partnership with BU and suppliers to meet business objectives.
Qualifications
- Understanding of both product design engineering and supplier ecosystem for PC and adjacent products. Commodity knowledges is preferred (i.e IC, Memory, PCB, Passives, Display, touch, Mechanical, Thermal). - Bachelor's degree in an Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related field with 5+ years experience in PC or information technology products, Supply Chain, Global Supplier management. - Teamwork and collaboration skills. Interpersonal and relationship-building skills. - Fluent English in both writing and speaking. - Customer-oriented and proactively understand business needs to put plans in place for identified opportunities.Inside this Business Group
