About our group:

Seagate Corporate Development is seeking an experienced Analyst to work collaboratively in evaluating and executing on strategic opportunities. As a member of the team, you'll be responsible for building and presenting ad hoc analyses and financial models, as well as developing insights and business rationale to help drive decision-making. The role will require a close attention to detail and on-going appreciation and understanding of shifting market dynamics. The successful candidate will support specific initiatives and be responsible for the analysis, strategy documentation and progress reporting. This role can sit at either our Fremont, CA Longmont, CO or Shakopee, MN offices.

About the role - you will:

The candidate will have a history of successfully demonstrating the ability to work as a key member of a team, as well as demonstrate independent initiative. The candidate will have direct and frequent access with leadership, cross functional contributors, and potential external businesses and will be an integral contributor to the final work product and decisions.

About you:

. Proactively monitor industry trends and competitive landscapes to help identify, evaluate, and prioritize strategic initiatives
. Support current initiatives and investments including financial analysis, valuation, diligence and the dissemination of key learnings
. Establish strong working relationships with key internal partners and balance strong expertise in specific markets as well as ability to be versatile with team priorities
. Experience developing in-depth understanding of new technologies and business models
. Proficiency to source and distil large volumes of information and present underlying findings

Your experience includes:

. 5+ years of total professional experience (fewer years of experience considered for a Master's Degree)
. Bachelors with degree concentration in management, finance or similar discipline with 2+ years of related work experience in corporate development, venture capital, investment banking or business development in the technology industry
. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
. Strong written presentation skills and experience engaging with senior leadership
. A demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally and manage complex projects
. First-hand experience preparing materials for executive level strategic decision-making forums
. Direct experience supporting strategic planning process and initiatives
. Ability to manage multiple projects with competing priorities
. Comfort with ambiguity and positive attitude to try multiple solution paths
