Job Title:Sr. Process Development Engineer-Fermentation
Report to: BU DHC Senior Technology Manager
Location: Tongxiang

You Bring:
  • Formulate research assignments to support Technology strategy for the BU and its sites aimed for mid- and long term
  • Develop fermentation process for DHC Bio-gums product
  • Create the project portfolio and roadmap that will close the gaps between current process/production performance and BU business needs;
  • Support and proactively stimulate the improvement according to roadmap and action plan through close working with site operation team;
  • Propose research assignments based on business strategy, implement strategic projects (such as process development, expansion and so on) by close working with DBC and other internal/external functional teams;
  • Transfer key knowledge to local teams to grow understanding of the process and stimulate continuous improvement;
  • Lead the operation of pilot fermentation including experiment design, execution and reporting;
  • New bio-gum product development.;
  • To learn and abide by the SHE rules/regulations and participate in SHE trainings and other activities of the company according to the relevant regulations;
  • Strictly follow the company discipline, safety procedures and life saving rules;
  • To organize the process safety analysis, assessment and inspection during the pilot test, timely report the identified potential accidents, organize the formulation and implementation of rectification measures to prevent accidents;
  • Effective SHE inspection shall be carried out within the scope of responsibility and effictive control measures should be taken in time for hidden safety problems, then record and report it in time;
  • Other work assigned by line manager.

The Ideal:
  • Strong knowledge and research experience on fermentation, microbiology and bio-chemistry
  • Ph.D (experienced 2-5 years)
  • Good people communication and management skills
  • Very proactive and self-initiated, team spirited, strong capability to define and solve problems in ambiguous context
  • Experience in fermentation of hydrocolloids preferred
  • Fluent in Mandarin and English.
