About the role - you will:- This individual will serve as an Sr. Engineer Specialist within the Mechanical Process Development organization. In this role you will be hands-on with a focus on providing support our engineering development teams in developing new manufacturing equipment, metrology, and processes that will In this role you will:
- Assist engineering team in defining process, tooling, and equipment requirements to support future roadmaps.
- Assist engineering team in conducting studies to validate feasibility, cost, and performance benefits of new process and equipment solutions.
- Assist engineering team with the design and development of next generation process, metrology, cleaning, and equipment solutions.
- Work closely with engineering team and equipment vendors to specify, design, procure, set-up, debug, and implement new solutions for high-volume manufacturing.
- Optimization of equipment and processes to achieve overall uptime and reliability of the development team's equipment.
About you:- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Your experience includes:- In depth experience as a technician or an equivalent number of years of experience or specialized training
- Familiarity with interpreting and communicating electro-mechanical circuit diagrams
- Fundamental understanding of electromechanical systems or devices
- Proficiency in standard office productivity software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Associates Degree and/or equivalent experience
It is preferred if you have all or some of the following experience:- Automation and Robotics specifically in the die attach/flip chip bond arena
- Perform investigation work in addition to calibrations. Apply proven metrology principles and evaluate unexpected or contradictory results
- Knowledge of lasers, optics, and associated metrology
- Understanding of machine control using Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and Personal Computers (PCs)
- Understanding of machine vision and motion control systems
- Machine Vision - cameras, lenses, optics, lighting, and processing
- Motion Control - controllers, amplifiers, motors, and sensors
- Knowledge and experience using Computer Aided Engineering (CAE) tools such as SolidWorks and ANSYS
- DFSS and/or 6 Sigma experience desirable
- Metrology test systems
- Tribological test systems
