Job Description
This position is a technical leader position in APC and Fab wide tool analytics space, which requires deep knowledge including both system software skills and algorithm development. Need to ensure the APC system can run stably and interact with multiple systems to make sure fab process control in great shape. The job responsibilities include:
- Develop/improve control system including system level software solution and algorithm to make sure the process can run on the target with enough process margin for wafer manufacturing
- Analyzing Statistical process control data to identify new control opportunities
- Develop simulation platforms to verify the model and control systems
- Implement/debug/test modeling and control algorithms
- Project management within cost and time constrained environments
- Develop tool analytics solutions to help fab to improve yield/outputs/cost
- oversee daily development activities and interact with stakeholders to ensure business requirements are met through proper prioritization
This position is associated with the sale of Intel's NAND memory and storagebusiness to SK Hynix (You can read more about the transaction in thepress release - ). The transaction will enhance the resources and potential ofthe business storagesolutions, including client and enterprise SSDs, in the rapidly growing NAND Flash space amid the era of big data.

This position aligns to Phase 2 of the transaction, which includesNAND technology and component development along withfab operations. Employees aligned to Phase 2 will continue to be employed by Intel and will continue to develop NAND technology andcomponents and manufacture NAND wafers at the fab. Phase 2 of the transaction is expected to close in March 2025, at which time employees aligned to this phase of the transaction will transition employment to SK Hynix.
- Master/Ph.D degree in automation/computer science/control system and other relevant engineering majors
- Strong background in modeling, system identification, parameter estimation, frequency response analysis, classical and modern control theory.
- Exposure to automated data collection, databases, visualization, quality and efficiency in manufacturing, automated decision control
- Deep knowledge in feedback/feedforward control system design for both SISO/MIMO modeling
- Handson software development experience of adaptive control, optimal control, model predictive control (MPC), and advanced process control (APC) at system level
- Strong skills in modeling and simulation using MATLAB/Python, C/C++, strong problem solving skills required as well
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Experience with SQL programming and databases
- Experience in embedded control systems, machine learning, Failure Detection and Classification (FDC) is a plus.Inside this Business Group
