The Senior Usability Engineer has responsibilities extending to the product workflows and associated user interface used in ultrasound products.
Duties include (but are not limited to):
  • Lead usability activities with cross functional members from engineering, marketing and clinical to deliver best in class workflows and user interfaces for medical devices and digital solutions
  • Plan, create and design product workflows and user interfaces based on user requirements
  • Drive formative and summative usability testing, including planning, execution and documenting results
  • Interact with and set direction for user interface designers and software developers
  • Work with customers and clinical experts on continuous development and optimization of system workflows and UI designs

Quality Specific Goals:
Aware of and comply with the GEHC Quality Manual, Quality Management System, Quality Management Policy, Quality Goals, and applicable laws and regulations as they apply to this job type/position Complete all planned Quality & Compliance training within the defined deadlines Identify and report any quality or compliance concerns and take immediate corrective action as required Support compliance/closure of Regulatory and Quality requirements before completing Design Outputs/Program Deliverables Participate in continuous improvement activities by identifying and appropriately escalating process and product quality gaps, providing solutions when possible
Master's Degree in Interaction design, Human Factors Engineering, or related field Experience with design and development of product workflows and user interfaces Experience with validating product designs with customers

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in Systems engineering, Software and/or Mechanical design.
