  • Own and lead the Release Management lifecycle for All FWD Apps platform portfolios, which includes scheduling, coordinating and the management of releases for areas of application updates, operating system patches, security improvements, hardware upgrades and digital delivery releases per Projects and Programs roadmaps
  • Support external perceptions that will position FWD as a true digital leader through leading and ensuring the release management processes to achieve as per release objectives defined.
  • Lead to collaborate with Group IT to improve the software engineering processes and practices associated with continuously building, deploying, and updating software and environments
  • Build the Digital Delivery Release cadence in working closely with the respective Development team leads and Platform Managers from different teams and centralising the view of all releases.
  • Lead the efforts of defining the strategic direction for release management tools for digital delivery to ensure the process requirements of release management are built in wherever suitable.
  • Manage release projects and project interdependencies to ensure milestone adherence to ensure the integrity of the release can be measured.

  • Lead and co-ordinate the Go-Live activities including the execution of the cross-functional/cross location deployment Plans and checklists
  • Understand and establish the continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines, feature toggling, gradual exposure, branch handling, etc.
  • Understand and schedule the availability of resources and environments for testing.
  • Implement and manage release processes for code through development, test, and production environments.
  • Design and setup release / deployment cycles that is able to support multiple parallel development squads working on the same digital platform
  • Establish release management processes that will help understand impacts of branches and code merges
  • Lead to deliver critical fixes within hours
  • Forward plan the release windows and cycles across a platform portfolio
  • Identify risks, define risk mitigation plan and resolves issues through cross functions team that affect release scope, schedule and quality
  • Measure and monitor progress to ensure application releases are delivered on time and within budget, and that they meet or exceed expectations
  • Reconfigure existing systems, integrations, and processes, where needed, in order to achieve the release improvements to the process/outputs expectations.
  • Introduce new process/solutions/resources where needed, in order to achieve their objectives.
  • Coordinate release content and efforts based on the service request backlog, pending service requests, third party applications, or operating system updates
  • Conduct Release Readiness reviews, Milestone Reviews, and Business Go/No-Go reviews with defined project/program stakeholders
  • Produce Deployment, Run Books and Implementation Plans
  • Provide Weekly Release Reporting to respective stakeholder groups
  • Communicate release details and schedules to the Business as required
  • Communicate, negotiate, plan and manage all release activities
  • Maintain the release schedule for all core services and ensure alignment across key partners and vendors.
  • Continually work towards making improvements in the release process
  • Develop scripts and automation tools used to build, integrate, and deploy software releases to various platforms
  • Participate in CAB meetings to discuss release scope and/or roadblocks
  • Maintain a release repository and manage key information such as build and release procedures, dependencies, and notification lists across digital platform portfolios
  • Research new software development and configuration management methodologies and technologies and analyses their application to current configuration management needs
  • Collaborate with all members involved within the software development project and is supportive of developers and testers as they set up their build dev/test environments.
  • Collaborate and provide tools and services to help platform managers and project teams manage and deploy their releases into production.
  • Timely and sufficiently communicate all key project plans, commitments, and changes including requirements, QA plans, schedule, and scope changes with the release stakeholders.
  • Articulate and explain processes and outcomes through communications to all Tech leaders, engage and negotiate with release stakeholders where influencing using the right releases processes and tools.
  • Build strong relationships and collaborations among different stakeholder, teams and at different locations

  • Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science or related field
  • At least 2-6 years of Product Go-Live release management and/or project management experience for regional scale product launches (Solid understanding of project management principles preferred)
  • At least 8-10 years of experience in information systems operations environment, fully understand systems analysis or development
  • Proven experience in product release management that supporting agile delivery methods
  • Proven experience in releasing native app development in multi countries.
  • Experience with workaround on-premise systems is desirable.
  • Formal project management certified is preferred
  • Advanced knowledge of software development lifecycle
  • Demonstrate ability to coordinate cross-functional work teams toward task completion
  • Demonstrate effective leadership and analytical skills
  • Advanced written and verbal communication skill is a must
  • General PC knowledge including Microsoft Office expert level knowledge of Excel, working Knowledge of Access
