The Vendor Governance Management function sits in the Asia and reports to the North America Vendor Governance Team. This person is responsible of ensuring that contractual and vendor risk is appropriately managed in Asia.What motivates you

We are looking for someone with:
At a minimum, 3 years’ experience in Risk management
At a minimum 3 years of working in Asia region
Experience working in international companies
Knowledge of procurement and contract best practices
Solid knowledge of vendor management
Solid PC skills
Excellent written and spoken English
Graduate degree
Familiar with Manulife’s business operations and functions
Familiar with Asia country regulatory requirements
Fluent in another Asian language (Mandarin, Tagalog, Japanese, Bahasa, Vietnamese)
Passion for the success
Strong customer service orientation, adept at cultivating and sustaining value-add business partnerships with different stakeholders and Asia business units
Capable of working under pressure
Multi-tasking in a fast pace moving environment
Strong capability in decision making
On the job you will: - Responsible for creating, leading, and coordinating vendor risk management and vendor performance management related activities across the Manulife Asia Segment, working closely with the Director, Procurement and Sourcing team, country specific Procurement Coordinators and companywide Subject Matter Experts.
- The VGM will support Asia Business Units (BUs) in delivering a risk stratification for engagements, providing risk knowledge and support on all onboarding vendors, complete due diligence requirements for all Highest Risk vendors, complete contractual due diligence for all Highest Risk vendors, and support the business for all Heightened and/or Stable risk vendor governance requirements. Such activities include:
Management of vendor risk assessment
Support Prescreening Questionnaire and Inherent Risk Questionnaire process for new and existing engagements
Manage personal vendor portfolio
Perform Annual Governance on Highest Risk Vendors
Support Asia business units with vendor risks
- The role is responsible for helping to ensure all vendor risk management activities are compliant with Manulife policies and processes.
- The position will engage support subject matter experts (e.g., legal, risk management, finance, compliance) as appropriate.
