RESPONSIBILITIES: The DELIVER organization strives to deliver an exceptional customer experience through leading critical customer facing functions such as distribution, customer service, logistics and transportation across Johnson & Johnson Family of Companies. DELIVER supports all three sectors of Johnson & Johnson over a USD 4B business revenues: Medical Device, Pharmaceutical, and Consumer Products and DELIVER APAC manages a complex network of Distribution centers (DC's) and Customer Services centers across APAC supporting multiple distribution channels to J&J broad range of customers. Since 2013 DELIVER has undertaken a complete review of its network and consolidated its footprint while driving best in class distribution operations and leveraging Third Party Logistic sourcing base. The Senior Director, Deliver China will drive day to day execution of distribution, transportation, customer service to ensure reliable supply in alignment with segment priorities. The role has following direct reports, interfaces, key responsibilities, and objectives: Direct Reports: Consumer Health Warehouse & Distribution and PM/Performance Analytics Lead, MD & Pharm Warehouse & Distribution Lead, Trade Compliance & Transport Lead, Customer Service Lead. Overall total Headcount of 103. Key Interfaces . RDO: RDO APAC Leadership Team Members (Country/Cluster Leads, APAC Segment - Con/MD/Pharm Leads) . RDEx: Collaboration with the RDEx team . Country LT: Leader of the country Supply Chain Deliver Leadership Team, Member of the China Enterprise Supply Chain Council . Commercial: Interfaces with the Commercial Leadership Team in China Key Responsibilities . Lead cross-sector, matrixed team Supply Chain Deliver professionals to improve the Customer Experience related to doing business with J&J while driving compliant, effective, and efficient capabilities that enhance the value of our commercial companies and our brands. . Manage relationship with Third Party Logistics (3PL) provider for country/cluster distribution operations. . Engage with the multi-matrixed collaborative relationships between Supply Chain and Commercial organizations for the J&J business in country/cluster . Collaborate with Supply Chain Deliver APAC Leadership Team, CFO's and Company General Managers to develop integrated long-term long strategies and drive customer experience, distribution and transportation capabilities . Represent one face of J&J Supply Chain to trade customer(s) for Consumer, JJ Medical Companies and Janssen . Develop superior Customer collaboration capabilities and relationships which enhance our mutual success/growth and reduce cost and complexity within the supply chain. . Acts as the Customer Champion to build collaboration capabilities and relationships, bringing customer-specific and industry leading requests and opportunities back into J&J. Champions voice of customer with end-to-end Supply Chain partners and other functional areas to satisfy customer requirements. . Seek and leverage synergies across Supply Chain Deliver and deliver against Cost Improvement Program (CIP) targets. . Provide oversight for Regional Transportation Team including operational excellence, carrier relations and trade compliance in country/cluster . Responsible for annual business planning and financial management of spend including systems and capabilities investment with leverage of cost as percent of sales. . Collaborate within the Deliver APAC LT in development of APAC process capabilities . Ensure optimal, efficient execution of all tactical customer logistics functions (customer services, distribution, transportation, compliance), achieving targeted metrics and cost as percent of sales . Develop and operationalize policies, systems and processes that drive / support Go-to-Market strategies and sales growth . Ensure consistency of approach, harmonization of process and compliance to QA, SOX standards Objectives . Set By: VP Deliver APAC with input and alignment from Global Segment Deliver leads and regional SC leaders . Focuses on: Managing for performance of the day-to-day execution of distribution, transportation, customer service to ensure reliable supply in alignment with segment priorities . KPIs: OTIF-D, Cost to Serve, Inventory, CIPs Qualifications Education: BA in Logistics/Supply Chain/Business required Advanced degree like MA and MBA preferred. Experience and functional competencies: . 15-20 years in end-to-end supply chain related disciplines with track record of having executed Customer Services Management . Deep expertise across core transportation and W/H processes . Capability in distribution / transportation capacity planning and trade compliance . Strong analytical, strategic, and project management skills proven track record in process design . Presence and persistence to face off with and be a challenge partner to business leaders throughout regional Deliver . Track record of developing and building diverse, high performance teams with a strong sense of mission, capable of navigating matrix organizations . Skills to build an organization embracing a culture of functional excellence and continuous improvement . Strong knowledge of supply chain and logistics ways of operating and strategy . Demonstrated impact in roles requiring orchestration and influence . E2E mindset and collaborative, influence-based leadership approach . Ability to promote a vision and drive change to transform organizations, via strong engagement/communication . Highly skilled communicator with demonstrated ability to synthe large quantities of information and present cogent recommendations .
