Responsibilities:
- Plan and manage business analysis, user engagement and software delivery activities, including requirements gathering, empirical requirement validation, testing and UAT strategies.
- Act as a key liaison between business and technology teams (e.g. software delivery and testing teams) to deliver quality working software meeting the targeted project outcomes
- Work with customers to evaluate and define business processes and business problems, uncovering areas for improvement and for value creation
- Translate business needs into functional requirements and user stories, and deliver functional specifications and business process models
- Manage the customer project management and end-users throughout the project lifecycle, from executive leadership down to front line staff.
- Identify and document constraints, assumptions and risks associated with business requirements
Requirements:
- 6+ years experience as a business analyst with proven ability to manage large & strategic IT projects from concept to implementation that span multiple systems and business processes.
- Experience in a consulting environment is highly desirable.
- Government project experience is desirable, particularly in the area of Public Safety. System experiences within the areas of mobility, Computer Aided Dispatch, geographic information systems are also beneficial
- Knowledge of Agile and scrum methodologies- user stories, acceptance criteria writing, sprint planning experience, etc.
- Experience in using project delivery and software delivery tools such as Jira, Confluence and Google Office Suite.
