Job Description

Job purpose:
Under the guideline of line manager, as regards Sanofi People & Assets Protection policy and objectives, the Security Supervisor is responsible for ensuring and efficient and reactive physical building security measures management. The Security Supervisor scope of action is covering Sanofi China HQ premises, ERG offices and plants.
The Security Supervisor will focus on ensuring that the company assets and employees personal belongings are effectively and permanently protected against any malicious action that could alert the company and employees ability to sustain their business activities and development.
The key objectives are to establish and maintain efficient physical safeguards system (access control, alarm, CCTV, security related data processing) for Sanofi owned and leased sites to contribute to the protection of employees, physical assets, products and information, in cooperation with involved internal and external stakeholders.
Key accountabilities:
1. Physical building security
at HQ and ERG
. to ensure the definition and monitoring of efficient access control, alarm, CCTV and facial recognition system
. when necessary or if requested, to ensure and monitor the delivery of manned guard services
. in cooperation with Procurement, to prepare and manage the selection process (biddings) of vendor(s) in charge of installation and maintenance of security systems, or providing manned guard services
. to monitor the quality of service and potential training (for receptionist regarding security systems utilization and badge delivery) provided by the relevant vendors 2/3
. ensure communication and implementation of local (under approval process) and Global Policies, regarding Physical Building related security measures:
. GDPOL-013865: Physical Building Security
. GDOPG-014274: Physical Building Security-Process-Site Protection
. GDOPG-0114247: Physical Building Security-Site Security organization
. GDOPG-014275: Physical Building Security-Identification and Access Control
. to ensure necessary communication to or training of Sanofi employees on Physical Building Security, Identification and Access Control
. to timely update local Access Control SOP
. accordingly, to support potential on-going local development plan (renovation of existing offices, opening of innovation centers or new offices)
. to regularly (at least once a year), audit existing systems
. to provide necessary support, including communication with local public security, in case of crisis management or malevolent action (theft, intrusion)
. to approve employees and third parties onboarding and offboarding process
. to regularly conduct Clear Desk onsite checking
. to support Dept Head to conduct risk assessment of strategic position offboarding
at plant level (Beijing, Hangzhou, Shenzhen)
. to ensure a close dialogue and cooperation with sites security correspondents regarding Physical Building Security global policies and the implementation of relates security measures
. to support the local risk assessment
. to cooperate locally for the integration of security objectives in the annual HSE action plan developed by each site (PASS)
. to audit, once a year or on request, the local physical building security measures
. to support/cooperate locally for the selection of the relevant local vendors in charge of installation and maintenance of security systems or manned guard services
. if requested, to organize a security audit by an independent third party (bidding process, audit delivery)
. to support and ensure the definition, implementation, monitoring of a relevant remedy action plan
2. when requested:
. supporting VIP visits
. supporting events.
minimum bachelor's degree
relevant background or qualification / training in physical building and transportation security measures
intermediate communication skills in English allowing to write down conclusion or reports in English, and to prepare and deliver a short and basic presentation in English on above professional activities.
