Job Description


Day to Day Responsibilities:
-Evaluate the impact of coating methods, e.g. draw
-down coating, spin-coating and dip-coating, and processing conditions on the technical properties of UV and thermally cured glass coatings and adhesives, especially epoxy and acrylate-based resins.
-Design of experiments to optimize processing conditions for better coating properties and higher efficiency.
-Scale-up coating processes.
-Characterize coating properties using standard characterization techniques, such as FT-IR, DSC-TGA, UV-Vis, microscope, surface hardness, scratch resistance.
-Collect and analyze experimental data, write technical reports for internal and external purposes.
-Daily lab management, maintain instruments and ensure chemicals/solvents storage and disposal in a safely manner.
Education & Experience:
-Master degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, polymer or material science.
-Process or test engineer with good experience in at least one solution-based coating processes, for example, draw-down coating, slot-die coating, spin-/dip-coating and spray-coating. -1
-3 years of work experience in coating or adhesive/sealant industry is highly preferred. Required Skills:
-Skillful in solution-based coating techniques, for example, draw-down coating, slot-die coating, spin-/dip-coating and spray-coating.
-Skillful in characterization and testing techniques for organic coatings and adhesives.
-Skillful in process optimization, design of experiments (DOE) and data analysis.
-Fluent in writing and reading RnD report/working emails in English fluent oral English to make English presentations. Desired Skills:
-Good knowledge in thermoset resins and their applications in different areas.
-Good knowledge in coating formulation design.
Soft Skills:
-Hard working -Team player -Very good communication skills
-Good in English reading and writing
