Research Assistant I/II (several posts) in Community Child Health Unit of the Department of Paediatrics and Adolescent Medicine (Ref: 503574) (to commence as soon as possible, on a one-year temporary basis or two-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance)
Applicants should possess a Bachelor's degree or above in community child health, public health, social sciences, statistics, psychology or other healthcare-related disciplines, preferably with experience in statistical analysis and knowledge of health and social psychology. They should have a good command of written English and spoken Cantonese, proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, and good problem-solving, communication, organizational and administrative skills. They should also be self-motivated, highly committed, and able to work independently as well as in a team. The appointees will participate in different survey and assessment studies on physical and mental health. Duties include but are not limited to research coordination, data collection, manuscript write-up, data analysis and filing. Specific on-the-job training will be provided for those who intend to pursue postgraduate studies.
A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. The appointments on fixed terms will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme totalling up to 10% of basic salary.
