Research Assistant I/II (holding the functional title of Project Officer) in the Faculty of Social Sciences (Ref.: 503206) (to commence as soon as possible, until December 31, 2021)
Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree or above in Social Work, Mental Health, Psychology, Behavioral Health, Counselling, Sociology or a related discipline; proficiency in software applications such as Microsoft Office applications and SPSS; excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese/Cantonese; good analytical, organizational and interpersonal skills; and ability to work independently as well as in a team. Those with experience in undertaking research related to End-of-Life Care (EoLC) and/or mental health is preferred.
The appointee will work in the research team of the Jockey Club End-of-Life Community Care Project (JCECC) under the Faculty of Social Sciences. The project, started in 2015, aimed at improving the quality of end-of-life care, enhancing the capacity of service providers, as well as raising public awareness on life and death issues. The appointee is expected to perform research and evaluation of the project, assist in preparation of manuscripts, and undertake any other duties as assigned.
A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits.
