Job Description
Primary

  • Actively participate and responsible for Global Wealth Asset Management Release Engineering processes and activities.

  • Implement and follow best practices of release management process and procedures for systems support and troubleshooting.

  • Provide user administration and code deployment support for any source-code repository (Gitlab/SVN) tools.

  • Follow documented procedures to fulfill change and service requests.

  • Manage and execute change requests appropriately to fulfill tasks within a defined scope and reasonable time frame.

  • Perform deployment and troubleshooting tasks.

  • Escalate service or documentation issues to Tech Lead.

  • Identify areas for improvement and collaborate with interested parties to drive change with a focus on efficiency and risk management.

Secondary

  • Participate in the creation and administration of support documentation.

  • Participate in quarterly audits as required.

  • Test and verify tool software patches.

  • Knowledgeable on Internet Information Service Manager (IIS).

  • Provide basic troubleshooting in software and tool configuration related issues.

  • Disaster Recovery:

  • Support Disaster Recovery (DR) planning and testing.

  • Execute recovery activities according to plan for DR testing and/or actual events.

  • Provide status reporting and statistics on issues, service request volumes, response time, resolution time and backlog as required by the Operations Lead. 

Note:
Core operation is Night Time (EST), and with Mid Shift rotation.
Key Accountabilities:

  • Performs releases to Non-prod and Prod environments from different tools ensuring correct components are released set by the agreed design requirements.

  • Handle all types of release requests e.g. Informatica, PowerBI, SimCorp, SQL, Salesforce, .NET, etc. deployments.

  • Provide tools and services to help development, support, and project teams manage and deploy releases into production.

  • Understand the working knowledge of the release management procedures.

  • Provide regular release communications to affected stakeholders.

  • Attend meetings to discuss release scope and/or roadblocks.

  • Create new repositories to different source-code repository applications.

  • Fulfill user access requests for Gitlab.

  • Respond to basic trouble shooting to release tools and applications.

  • Update existing documentation as needed as guidelines for release and deployment processes.

  • Implement and follow best practices for product support and troubleshooting.

  • Perform other Release Management duties as required.

Skills and Competencies:
Qualifications / Requirements:

  • Must have at least 1 year technical work experience.

  • Experience in information systems operations and management environment is a plus.

  • Open to all MBPS Associates with one-year tenure in their current position.

  • For MBPS Candidates:

  • Must currently be meeting job expectations and pass all performance metrics in his/her unit.

  • Should not have any attendance issues or any disciplinary action.

Technical Skills:

  • Technical experience in a software development environment with exposure to multiple platforms, databases and scripting languages.

  • Experience with one or more scripting language e.g. SQL, DAX, Gitbash, Windows is a plus.

  • Knowledge in ITIL best practices as it relates to Release Management is a plus.

  • Knowledge of one or more version source control (SVN/Gitlab) tools.

  • Knowledgeable on software development lifecycle.
