Project Officer (PR0529/21-22)
Hong Kong Baptist University has been awarded funding under Job Creation Scheme 2.0 supported by the Government to create employment opportunities amidst the deteriorating economy due to the pandemic.
The Graduate School is looking for an experienced candidate to assist in the revamp of the student information system and data driven analysis for postgraduate programmes. The successful candidate is expected to perform the following duties:
(A) System enhancement/development:
- Enhancing the student information system and other e-systems including assisting in system development, enhancement, and conducting user acceptance tests and
- Improving the quality of student data on admission, studies and graduation, including data cleaning of the existing database.
(B) Conducting studies:
- Conducting quantitative and qualitative studies on the various aspects of the University's postgraduate programmes
- Interpreting data, analysing patterns, trouble-shooting issues and devising data model for admission and enrolment strategies and
- Preparing analytical reports.
Applicants should possess a recognised relevant bachelor's degree or above, with substantial experience in system development and enhancement, conducting quantitative and qualitative studies and using relevant analytical tools. They should have analytical skills, numerical sense, and be able to work independently. Good interpersonal, communication and organisational skills and proficiency in English and Putonghua are required. Knowledge and/or experience in higher education is preferred. The appointment will be offered on a fixed-term contract of one year.
