FACULTY OF SOCIAL SCIENCES (PR0141/20-21)
Hong Kong Baptist University has been awarded funding in relation to the Job Creation Scheme under Anti-epidemic Fund 2.0 of the Government to create employment opportunities.
The Faculty now invites applications for the following positions:
1. Project Coordinator - Knowledge Transfer Activities
- Engage in activities related to the promotion of departmental research to the community including planning, coordination and execution of outreach activities, such as public lectures, workshops and community visits
- Collect and analyse feedback data on the activities
2. Project Assistant - Learning & Teaching Projects (7 vacancies)
- Promote online learning under the new normal of COVID-19, such as applications of 'flipped classroom'
- Provide administrative support to all online teaching and learning related endeavours, including secretarial support to committees
3. Administrative Intern - Teacher Education Programmes
- Provide support to the Practicum and School Partnering Unit in placement allocation for teacher education students
- Liaise with staff, students, school personnel, and University offices; and provide logistic and secretarial support
4. Course Assistant - Sociology Programmes
- Assist in liaising with community partners for experiential learning courses in the Department of Sociology
- Provide assistance to instructors in the course delivery
- Collect and analyse data on students feedback for the courses
Applicants should possess a recognised relevant Bachelor's degree with good interpersonal, communication and organisational skills; a good command of English and Chinese. Proficiency in Putonghua will be an advantage.
As stipulated by the Government, applicants should be Hong Kong permanent residents. The Faculty may appoint candidates to positions different from what they have applied for to suit its operational needs.
Appointment will be offered on a fixed-term contract of one year.
