Project Co-ordinator II

The Centre for China Studies (CCS) at The Chinese University of Hong Kong is a department-level unit that offers English-taught undergraduate and postgraduate programmes (including MA, MPhil and PhD) and commits to the highest international quality of interdisciplinary teaching and research on modern and contemporary China. The Centre is inviting applications for the position of Project Co-ordinator II to support the Centre%26rsquo;s programme operation and publicity. 
Reporting to the Centre%26rsquo;s leadership, the appointee will (a) provide assistance in admission including reviewing applications, interviewing international applicants, and making recommendations; (b) lead the Centre%26rsquo;s publicity and promotion work, create promotional contents for social media, prepare quarterly newsletters, and manage the Centre%26rsquo;s social media accounts; (c) liaise with local and international high schools and universities to promote the Centre%26rsquo;s programmes; (d) facilitate students%26rsquo; career development; and (e) perform other tasks as assigned. 
Applicants should have (i) a Bachelor%26rsquo;s degree or above; (ii) an excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese and Putonghua); (iii) strong skills in digital communication, graphic design and audio-video making; (iv) strong cross-cultural sensitivity and interpersonal skills; (v) strong communication and organisational skills; (vi) the ability to work independently with strong self-motivation; and (vii) a strong sense of responsibility and team spirit. Work experience in media or publicity will be advantageous. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to sit for a written test. Appointment will initially be made on a 1-year contract, renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.
