Job Description


The Brain and Mind Institute is recruiting Postdoctoral
Fellow(s) for Brain Technology Development which is a newly funded study for
constructing neural predictive models of language and cognitive outcomes.
Applicants should have (i) a PhD degree in Cognitive or
Computational Neuroscience, Biomedical Engineering, Computer Science,
Statistics or a related field; (ii) strong computer programming (e.g. MATLAB,
Python, C++, etc.) and statistical skills; and (iii) solid quantitative
background, including machine learning, programming, and/or neuroimaging data
analysis. Experience with neural data collection and analysis (fMRI, fNIRS,
EEG), such as using multivariate neuroimaging techniques and analytics (e.g.
multivoxel pattern analysis, representational similarity analysis, and
functional or anatomical connectivity analysis etc.) in brain research is
desirable. Experience with EEG and/or fMRI research is highly advantageous.
The appointee(s) will be responsible for conducting research
consistent with the goals of BMI, including designing experiments, running
research participants, analysing data, and writing manuscripts for publication.
Formal and informal teaching duties may be required. On-the-job training will also be
provided. 
Appointment will initially be made on contract basis for one
year, renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.
