Job Description Summary
1. Payroll operations and analysis
- The ideal candidate will manage payroll operation of some APAC countries.
- Collect complete documentation of payroll inputs and send to payroll service providers.
- Review various of payroll reports and provide supporting documents in required format.
- Provide required reports/figures to upstream and downstream working partners.
2. Payroll inquiries
- Review, research, analyze and respond to employee inquiries for employees in certain countries.
- Continue gain professional knowledge of responsible country payroll and income tax rules, local and works agreements and Qualcomm policies.
- Independently resolution of complex inquiries from internal partners and 3rd parties, e.g. vendors, statutory authorities, internal/external auditors, HR and stock
3. Payroll related system updates and issues resolving
- Research and understand new payroll/tax requirements which has system impact.
- Collaborate with vendors to ensure their systems are updated accordingly.
- Test the systems for new requirements.
- Coordinate with various stakeholders on system change.
4. Project ownership and leadership
- Analyze and take follow up actions of information discussed in meetings.
- Provide inputs on impact analysis and suggested new processes related to projects.
- Support testing, includes analyzing reports and systems result, researching root causes of variances to get expected results.
5. Any other work assignment from manager
- Utilizes analytical skills and collects information also identify where an issue has occurred and address the issue.
- Collaborates openly, respectfully, and inclusively with individuals inside team and with other stakeholders to complete work.
- Timely monitor practices across supported areas, and appropriately escalate issues, sometimes guides and review other team members work.
- Frequently contributes to conversations during meetings with manager or project lead
Required Qualifications (All are required upon entry)
The ideal candidate will have more than 5 years experiences in payroll area, in house or as payroll consultant. The ideal candidate must have good English communication skill in both written and speaking because this role will work with international colleagues in different time zones. Sometimes require attend meetings out of 8 working hours.
Preferred Qualifications
We use Workday in all countries and ADP Globalview in some countries, ideal candidate understands how to use both systems for payroll operations.
The ideal candidate have experiences of project implementation. The ideal candidate is expected to take leadership and ownership in certain function of projects.

  • Strong ability of problem resolving, high efficiency, multi-tasker, detail oriented.
