Transparency represents an incredible opportunity to raise retail industry standards around authenticity, product transparency, and supply chain tracing. Transparency is a strategic new software-as-a-service launched by Amazon for the global consumer goods industry. We are focused on building a global service which allows consumer brands and consumers to trace the origin of items throughout the supply chain ensuring only authentic items enter the supply chain. The Transparency service is focused on preventing the receipt and sale of counterfeit goods both online and offline. Our customers include individual consumer brands who sell both on and off of Amazon direct and through a network of direct and third-party sellers.
The Role:
We are seeking a Partner Business Development Manager to identify and develop 3rd party relationships to enable, drive and scale Transparency adoption by brands. These may include supply chain actors - contract manufacturers, print/packaging suppliers, co-packers, logistics providers, and consumer brand influencers. This role will dive deep with 3rd parties acquiring a deep understanding of business models, business strategies, and brand influence resulting in recommendations on engagement strategy and expected results.
Your responsibilities include:
· Research and develop 3rd party business relationships that help build and grow brand adoption of Transparency
· Develop and drive business enablement plans and experiments to drive referrals or co-sell activities
· Create, model, and recommend creative business models where appropriate
· Be a liason between 3rd party companies and Transparency strategic sales teams; communicate with all stakeholders via regular cadence
· Develop metrics to measure effectiveness of your strategies, experiments, and business development activity
Basic Qualifications :
· Bachelor’s degree
· 5 + years experience in channel partner programs & channel roles within a technology field, retail, or supply chain management
· Proven experience identifying new business opportunities to drive channel business
· Demonstrated exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, written and verbal
· Proven problem-solving skills using data analysis
Preferred Qualifications :
· Master’s degree
· 7 + years experience in channel partner programs & channel roles within a consumer brand or retail supply chain ecosystem
· Proven experience developing and implementing new strategies to drive channel partner business at scale
· Demonstrated experience working and communicating with multiple stakeholders and cross functional teams, including business development, product management, product marketing, program management, legal, as well as partner communities
· Proven problem-solving skills using data analysis
