Part-time School Development Officer II
Established in 2003, the Hong Kong Centre for International Student Assessment aims to facilitate the creation of a new global assessment and monitoring system in Hong Kong and to establish a rich database, which can inform education stakeholders of youths%26rsquo; readiness to participate in further study, work, and community affairs. To cultivate and investigate the spiritual well-being of teachers and school administrators, the Centre is now looking for a Part-time School Development Officer II for the Well-being Project.
The appointee will primarily assist the Project Director in (a) project management; (b) co-ordination of participants and related institutions for the project; (c) collection and/or analysis of research data; (d) development of related training materials and execution of staff development programmes for local schools; (e) preparation of project/research reports; and (f) promotion and implementation of project activities.
Applicants should have (i) a Bachelor%26rsquo;s degree, or preferably a Master%26rsquo;s degree, in Religion, Education, Sociology or equivalent; (ii) at least 6 years%26rsquo; relevant post-qualification experience; (iii) knowledge of development in spiritual education in Hong Kong; (iv) good knowledge of qualitative and quantitative research in education and/or social sciences; (v) excellent English and Chinese writing skills; and (vi) good communication and interpersonal skills.
Appointment will initially be made on a 1-year contract commencing as soon as possible, renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.
