Part-time Project Assistant II

The appointee will be responsible for (a) assisting in organising arts and cultural activities for students (b) preparing event materials (c) providing onsite and logistical support to events and (d) performing other duties as assigned.

Applicants should have (i) completed secondary education (ii) Grade E/Level 2 or above in at least 5 subjects in HKCEE, including Chinese and English (Syllabus B) OR any combination of results in at least 5 HKDSE subjects (including Level 2 or above in Chinese and English): Level 2 or above in NSS subjects, &ldquoAttained or above in ApL subjects (subject to a maximum of 2 subjects), and Grade E or above in Other Language subjects (iii) at least 1 year&rsquos work experience, preferably at tertiary institutions (iv) fast and accurate typing skill (v) proficiency in MS Office applications (vi) a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese and Putonghua) (vii) a strong sense of responsibility and (viii) ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Experience in project management, coordination and implementation would be an advantage.

Appointment will be made on a 4-month contract commencing as soon as possible.

The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) is a public research university in Shatin, Hong Kong, formally established in 1963 by a charter granted by the Legislative Council of Hong Kong. It is the territory's second-oldest university and was founded as a federation of three existing colleges – Chung Chi College, New Asia College and United College – the oldest of which was founded in 1949.
CUHK is organized into nine constituent colleges and eight academic faculties, and remains the only collegiate university in the territory. The university operates in both English and Chinese, although classes in most colleges are taught in English. Four Nobel laureates are associated with the university, and it is the only tertiary institution in Hong Kong with recipients of the Nobel Prize, Turing Award, Fields Medal and Veblen Prize sitting as faculty in residence.
