BASF is currently building a new Verbund site in Zhanjiang, Guangdong province. Announced in July 2018 and officially commenced in November 2019, BASF Guangdong Verbund site project would be BASF’s largest investment with up to US$10 billion upon completion and would be operated under the sole responsibility of BASF. The site would ultimately be the third-largest BASF site worldwide, and will be built into a role model for smart manufacturing and sustainable production by utilizing the latest digital technologies and applying the highest safety standards.
  • Support Gov.& Social Affairs team to achieve the team targets by building strong and trustworthy relationship with gov. authorities and local communities

Main Tasks:
  • Keep daily contacts with Zhanjiang BASF Project Steering Office ('ZBO') with follow-ups on aligned actions tracking
  • Keep updating the communications records with gov. authorities and local communities
  • Deliver detailed arrangement of all gov. & social affairs related meetings, events and other related details coordination
  • Draft the regular reports to local gov. and ext. stakeholders under supervision for further review by team
  • Draft the meeting minutes of the regular meetings for further review by team
  • Coordinate the gov. & community guests reception on Site
  • Monitor the teams document folder in Sharepoint or Document Management System
  • Other assignments from team when necessary
  • Other assignments from cross teams internally when necessary

  • Education: Bachelor's degree and above in government / public relations or related discipline;
  • Working Experience: fresh graduate or 1-2 years in government affairs experience in chemical industries preferred;
  • Technical & Professional Knowledge:
  • Excellent skills in word, excel, PPT and other office softwares
  • Good English language skills and Mandarin language skills, Cantonese and local Leizhou dialect will be helpful
  • Very detail-oriented, accept work under pressure
