Medicinal Product Superintendent (carrying the job title of &lsquoProduction Manager)

In the exciting new field of cell therapy, we are seeking a highly motivated individual who is a team player and is unafraid to take up challenges to join an energetic team.

The appointee will (a) oversee all production activities of Advanced Therapy Products (ATP) in compliance with the Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and local authority (b) maintain the awareness of updated regulatory requirements and the manufacture of products to ensure compliance with the regulations and maintain quality management system (c) inform supervisors of all the quality incidents, non-conformance and deviations (d) oversee training of new starters, and ensure continuous training of production staff personnel is carried out and adapted according to the need (e) ensure all staff are trained in GMP, the tasks performed and the equipment used for the manufacture and release of any ATPs and (f) perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Applicants should have (i) a Master&rsquos degree or above in Biological Sciences, Biomedical Sciences, Biomedical Engineering, or related disciplines (ii) at least 3 years of full-time relevant work experience at managerial or supervisory level (iii) evidence of theoretical and practical training in GMP principles (iv) team spirit, and good communication, interpersonal, organisational, co-ordination and planning skills (v) attentiveness to details and (vi) a self-motivated work attitude. Knowledge of ATP manufacturing and QC process is an advantage.

Appointment will initially be made on a 2-year contract, renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.

The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) is a public research university in Shatin, Hong Kong, formally established in 1963 by a charter granted by the Legislative Council of Hong Kong.
