Job Summary:
The Revenue Management & Market Intelligence Supervisor supports the development of revenue management strategies to ensure the healthy profit growth and yield improvement for business units across the UPS Enterprise. He/she also performs external competitive/market data collection for internal market opportunity evaluation. The supervisor leads the analysis of competitive and market opportunity to come up with insights used to develop business cases and evaluate UPS’s Marketing Strategy. He/she conducts detailed analysis to help develop a current and future view of markets and the competitive environment. He/she supports the implementation of Go-to-Market plans for growth and product initiatives.
Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide in-depth customer analysis and identify the root causes of the customer shipping behavior/characteristics shift impacting profitability.

  • Support complex Revenue Management analysis of marketing or pricing-related initiatives.

  • Execute Revenue Management initiatives and implement Revenue Management policy.

  • Analyze competitors’ operations, network, strategies, products, services, technologies to determine UPS competitive position by key cities / geos.

  • Develop Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats (SWOT) analysis of key competitors to identify market advantages and disadvantages.

  • Provide insights of the competitive gaps to help stakeholders better understand the market advantages and disadvantages.

  • Use quantitative methodologies to produce analytic insights related to competitor activities and market trends.

  • Analyze barriers for growth and develop strategic plans to enhance the value proposition.

  • Develop and implement Go-to-Market Strategy and conduct training to sales team to better understand the market opportunities, competitiveness and UPS capabilities.

  • Analyze post analysis of initiatives to understand the effectiveness of Go-to-Market Strategy.

  • Develop and maintain Country Competitive/Market Intelligence (CMI) Fact book.

  • Analyze impactful competitive news and determine how they impact to UPS.

  • Launch new growth and product initiatives and provide training to sales team for sales activities.

  • Communicate with internal stakeholders and facilitate understanding of initiatives.

  • Supervise, conduct performance evaluations and provide on-going feedback to improve individual performance, motivation and teamwork.

  • Determine employees’ training needs to guide continuous career development plans.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or above preferred

  • Minimum two years of relevant working experience

  • Good leadership skill with people management experience

  • Meticulous with strong attention to details

  • Strong analytical and logical thinking skills

  • Self-motivated individual who requires minimum supervision

  • Fast learner and proactive team player who brings positive influence in a challenging environment

  • Competent in Microsoft office applications

  • Excellent in oral and written communication, in both English and Chinese (Mandarin, Cantonese)
