Scope of Role:


  • Support team leader to coordinate Basel 4 related tasked assigned to Risk Function

  • Support team leader to collaborate with Group/Regional ERMF teams to define & implement strategic intent of the Function covering Risk Governance and ERMF, Basel 4, Model Risk Management as well as Sustainability / Green / Climate Risk Management

  • Support team leader to interpret regulatory requirements and expectations, as well as manage regulatory relationship in relation to Risk Governance and ERMF, Basel 4, Model Risk Management as well as Sustainability / Green / Climate Risk Management

  • Support team leader to advise Country CRO, management committees and Board on Basel 4, Model Risk and the setting of risk appetite, informing them about the current exposure to model risk at Country level

  • Act as main point of contact for internal and external stakeholders regarding Basel 4

  • Advise different businesses and functions on matters relating to Basel 4, Model Risk Management, as well as Sustainability / Green / Climate Risk Management

  • Support the team leader to supervise all processes where a member of the Function is identified as first or second line process owner, including but not limited to, Basel 4, Model Risk related processes as well as Sustainability / Green / Climate Risk Management



The Role Responsibilities


  • Support team leader to coordinate Basel 4 related tasked assigned to Risk Function, include but not limited to local policy establishment, system enhancement / maintenance, MI reporting, etc.

  • Support to identify and assess risks related to the models used across the country and communicates them to senior management and escalates issues to appropriate resolution.

  • Assess the impact of new or enhanced products/pay-outs and challenges how first line staff have complied to Model Risk Management requirements and, where applicable, CBIRC requirements on MRM

  • Work closely with Group/Regional model risk team to implement solutions relevant for both group and local requirements

  • Coordinate the Bank&rsquos Risk function in completion of regulatory and Sustainability / Green / Climate Risk Management.

  • Ensure timely delivery of milestones and appropriate identification and management of cross stream dependencies for regulatory

  • Support the definition and roll out of enhanced risk appetite operating model, governance and system solutions



Our Ideal Candidate


  • Experience in commercial banks risk management functions

  • Basel 4 and Model Risk management experience, mainly related to CCIB credit risk which includes but not limited to model development, model risk identification, model validation, etc. High level of quantitative skills in modelling, and regulatory capital assessment

  • Professional data mining skills, especially in SAS, VBA, SQL, Excel etc.

  • Graduate and/or Post-Graduate University degree, preferably in economics or accounting

  • Fluent in written/spoken Mandarin and English

  • Strong inter-persona! skills and communication skills
