Lyve Cloud is an exciting new entry of Seagate in the cloud services marketplace. Seagate is now proud to offer storage in the cloud. Our Object Storage is S3 compatible and positioned for multiple data-intensive use cases - including backend for backup and archive, big data analytics, and several others across industry verticals. We are an agile fast-moving Lyve Cloud Engineering team, responsible for building, operating, and managing Seagate's cloud infrastructure, API and fully automated CI/CD pipeline. A blend of skillsets and diverse background make this a cross-functional team that delivers the technology that serves millions of daily active users.
About the role - you will:
- Define, design and build high-quality software solutions while evangelizing technologies, solutions, and best practices
- Collaborate with product management teams to ensure we're building the best products
- Involve and actively contribute in technical discussions, be a subject matter expert
- Contribute new ideas to a larger community of high-caliber professionals
- Execute all other duties as assigned by Leadership
About you:
- Self-driven, proactive, and out of the box thinker
- Adaptable to fast-paced, dynamic work environments and shifting demands
- Fast learner and craving for new learning opportunity (Golang, Microservices, Kubernetes)
- Highly collaborative, team-oriented and an effective communicator
- Must be flexible and demonstrate strong judgment/decision-making skills
- Diploma/ Degree in Information Technology or relevant field
Your experience includes:
- At least 5 years of experience with software application development (Java, C#, .NET)
- Good experience in REST API and Microservices development
- Hands-on in working with container technologies (Kubernetes)(added advantage)
- Agile software development (Scrum)
- Design and development of cloud services systems and platforms (added advantage)
- Familiarity with RDBMS (Postgres) and NoSQL (MongoDB, Cassandra) database
- Execellent knowledge of Linux command
- Knowledge of Jira workflow, DevOps and CI/CD implementation
