Job Description

Please note that DuPont has announced the intended divestiture of a majority of its M&M business to Celanese Corporation.This includes the Engineering Polymers business Vamac & Hytrel product lines Microcircuit & Component Materials and DuPont Teijin Films. The transaction is expected to close around the end of 2022, subject to customary closing conditions and regulatory approvals. At the time of closing, the candidate hired for this position is expected to become an employee of Celanese Corporation or its affiliate.

  • Identify new business opportunities for new application in industrial, consumer, electronics and automotive industry with focus on TPC-ET product line, thermal plastic polyester elastomer. (DuPont Hytrel)
  • Visit target customers and OEMs to collect VOCs and unmet needs. Introduce DuPont products to initiate application development programs.
  • Closely work with regional product manager and marketing team to assess and execute the product marketing plan.
  • Understand value proposition of our product and competitive benchmarking for next best alternative (in-kind/not in-kind) for value selling.
  • Communicate with sales, TS&D, R&D, and product managers to have internal alignment and to get their support to drive new product development programs.
  • Understand the entire value chains, technology trend, market trend, strength/weakness, thread and opportunities for related business.
  • Develop and hand-off commercialized programs to sales team on timely manner.
  • Manage and update development pipeline by SFDC.

  • More than Five-year experiences in sales or technical support with customer interfaces in chemical industry. Experiences in TPC-ET and/or thermal plastic elastomer research, commercial development and industry knowledge is preferred.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Customer focus with ability to understand customer needs and issues.
  • Strong project management Skills.
  • Good communication and people skill in a complex environment.
  • Cross cultural experience to work with different functional partners in multiple regions.
  • Self-motivated and result oriented.
  • Sophisticated computer skills including the use of Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SFDC.
  • Acceptance to domestic travel frequency up to 50%.
