To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add a/an Functional Safety Engineer located in Shanghai.
Reporting to the Functional Safety Manager, the Functional Safety Engineer role involves:
- Develop Flex safety solution to meet existing safety and cybersecurity regulations, and furthermore, to have ability to extent to cover foreseeable new safety and cybersecurity regulations.
- Support Flex automotive products development to ensure our products are compliance with safety standards, i.e. ISO 26262, and customer's safety requirements.
- Support on Flex passing Safety and cybersecurity Assessment by customer / OEM / Supervision organization
What a typical day looks like:
- Perform and coordinate safety analysis (e.g. FTA/FMEA/FMEDA)
- Design safety architecture and safety concept
- Derive safety requirements
- Support safety verification and validation
- Maintain and upgrade Flex functional safety development process
The experience we're looking to add to our team:
- Bachelor's degree or above on EE / Computing Science / Communication Engineering / Power Electronics / Automation Control or other relevant major
- Automotive EE product design and development (e.g. system design, HW design, or SW design) for massive production
- Systematic analysis experience (Deductive or/and Inductive, e.g. DFMEA, FTA, Fishbone, STPA)
- ISO 26262 oriented development experience, with knowledge of how safety requirements cascading down to detailed implementations
- 5 years+ work experience
- Good English skills on writing / reading / conversation
- Cybersecurity experience is a plus
- ADS/Braking product development experience is a plus
