Job Description

A Research Associate / Research Assistant position is available at the Department of Marketing. Our research objective is to build empirical/structural models that are estimated with extensive data analysis to have better understanding about various economic issues. One on-going project is about the underlying process for shoppers who may purchase multiple varieties within and across shopping trips.
Applicants should have (i) a Master's degree, preferably a PhD candidate, in Economics, Quantitative Marketing, Statistics or related disciplines, plus four years relevant post-qualification experience and (ii) experience and expertise in empirical/structural models, e.g. econometrics, programming, simulation. Those with less experience may be considered for the appointment of Research Assistant. Applicants with strong experience/skills may be considered for appointment on full-time or part-time basis.
The appointee will provide assistance to and get involved in research projects. Main duties include basic administration, in-depth literature review, data collection, programming, data analysis, simulation, etc. The goal is to ultimately develop into collaboration on research projects.
Appointment will be made on contract basis for up to 2 years, renewable subject to mutual agreement.
