• Mid-level Role
About the Client:
My client, a multi-billion dollar multinational corporate, is looking for a Critical Facilities Manager to join their existing high profile team in Hong Kong. Reporting directly to the Head of Hong Kong Operations, this position will manage a team of facilities professionals, the contracted service providers and the change issues within the facility.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
• Ensure statutory requirements for Health & Safety in the facility are upheld in line with internal and regulatory policies and procedures
• Ensure the facility is available at all times for live loads, maintain continuous operation of critical loads and ensure minimum redundancy levels on all power and equipment
• Create and implement the preventative maintenance program and ensure all maintenance is completed on time and to the requisite quality standards
• Ensure the facility is sufficiently staffed to offer round the clock (24/7) coverage and personnel are trained to company required standards
• Ensuring the data center maintains 100% availability for all live loads. Maintain continuous operation of Critical Loads. Maintain minimum redundancy levels on all critical power and cooling equipment. Maintain continuous operation of all control, monitoring, fire and security systems.
• Full control of the vendor selection and management process including the development of contracting agreements and performance measurement systems
Other Roles & Responsibilities:
• Support and participate in services and technical audit reviews as frequently as necessary, by preparing and presenting reports and records for audits to review and making equipment available for inspection and testing. Create or ensure that all required facilities reports are created: Daily Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly, Status Board Updates and adhoc (Includes: supply and demand, preventative maintenance, spares inventory, incident reports). Timely and accurate event notification and escalation, and adherence to the required notification and escalation policy.
• Conduct regular inspections during maintenance activities to ensure the work is high quality and in alignment with any GS standards or local legal requirements. Review and authorize all maintenance activities, reports, maintenance records and change request . Make equipment available for inspection and testing as required. Development, management and proper use of operating procedures (i.e. Emergency Operating Procedures (EOPs), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Methods of Procedures (MOPs). Conduct monthly data center inspection and audit of preventative work orders and operating procedures.
Candidate Profile:
• Grade B, H or C Registered Electrical Worker Certificate Holder
• Degree qualified in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or similar relevant discipline
• Significant experience in managing mission critical or data center environments
• Experience of managing operational budgets
• Experience of working in a similar matrix reporting organization
