Executive Officer I/II (carrying the job title of %26lsquo;Manager%26rsquo; / %26lsquo;Assistant Manager%26rsquo;), Smart Campus Section

The Social Responsibility and Sustainable Development Office (SRSDO) of The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) is set up to advise senior management on key areas of University Social Responsibility (USR). One of its core functions is to execute, evaluate and enhance the USR action plans outlined in the University%26rsquo;s next five-year strategic plan. Pursuant to the strategic plan, SRSDO will formulate strategies and implement policies on USR to achieve CUHK%26rsquo;s as well as the United Nations%26rsquo; (UN) Sustainable Development Goals. SRSDO will engage university members across units and co-ordinate their efforts in realising CUHK%26rsquo;s USR goals, and develop and maintain strategic partnerships with local and overseas institutions to maximise the impact of the University%26rsquo;s USR initiatives for sustainable development. 
The appointee will be responsible for (a) planning, developing and implementing the smart campus initiative, including the organisation of smart solutions competitions, knowledge exchange events and promotional activities; (b) collaborating with Colleges and the University%26rsquo;s professional and administrative service units, offering students information for and advice on idea development of projects on the designated theme of the smart solutions competitions and related activities; (c) providing assistance in the development and implementation of campus planning projects, e.g. smart space management and space efficiency review; (d) providing support to committee work; and (e) performing other duties as assigned. 
Applicants should have (i) a Bachelor%26rsquo;s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Urban Studies, Architecture, Sustainable Development or a related discipline; (ii) fulfilled the English language requirements set out on the website: https://www.hro.cuhk.edu.hk/en-gb/languageforeo; (iii) at least 8 years%26rsquo; post-qualification experience, preferably in the public sector; (iv) a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese; (v) a strong sense of responsibility and self-motivation; (vi) good organisational skills and attentiveness to detail; and (vii) outstanding analytical, interpersonal and communication skills. Experience in project management (especially smart projects) and knowledge of IoT and smart technologies will be advantageous. Those with less post-qualification experience may be considered for appointment as Executive Officer II.
