Executive Officer (holding the functional title of Assistant Social Work Officer) in the Department of Social Work and Social Administration (Ref.: 502495) (to commence as soon as possible, on a one-year temporary basis or two-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability)
The appointee will work in the project on Building Emotional Resilience in Hong Kong Families – Professional Capacity Building for Family Social Workers under the Department of Social Work and Social Administration.
Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree or above in Social Work discipline and should be a Registered Social Worker, preferably with 2 years’ post-qualification experience. They should have a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese; good experience in carrying out research project; excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; and the ability to work independently and as a team.
The appointee will assist the Principal Investigator in developing the family-life prevention package and training manuals, delivering public talks or workshops, liaising, visiting and coordinating activities in Integrated Family Service Centres (IFSC), participating and facilitating the intervention groups, managing the online information platform and intervention activities, providing administrative support in the project; and performing any other duties as assigned. He/she will work with a team of colleagues to conduct research on interventions relating to emotional resilience for Hong Kong families.
A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. The appointment on two-year fixed-term basis will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary.
