We are currently searching for a Staff Accountant, ideally a CPA, to join our team in Austin, Texas. This role will be in our Corporate Accounting function, and will involve monitoring and controlling our monthly financial reporting process, executing Sox controls and ensuring that our financial processes are in compliance with US GAAP and NXP policies and procedures.
.Perform month-end close activities for the US Entity
.Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, analysis and other general ledger operations by compiling and analyzing account information
.Assist with the year-end process, Audits, 1099 filings, etc.
.Perform inter-company and intra-company journal entries and reconciliations
.Support Treasury activities related to Deposits, Wires and Checks
.Complete Government Surveys and coordinate related data requests
.Execution of monthly and quarterly reporting related Sox controls
.Assisting in Corporate Accounting matters, such as:
o participating in Finance for the Future collaboration projects
o implementation of continuous monitoring as part of our control framework
o Enhancing and further centralizing our processes
o implementing new accounting guidelines
The local corporate accounting team (consisting of 4 direct team members) is on a daily basis acting as a trusted business partner with our business lines, while engaging with our global accounting team. The main focus of the team is ensuring complete and accurate US GAAP based accounting and reporting, including understanding and analyzing operational activity along with monitoring compliance with internal processes and policies,. In this role, you will also be part of the broader Corporate Accounting team that has key locations in Eindhoven, the Netherlands (corporate headquarters) Tianjin, China (our Center of Excellence) and multiple other countries that give us a global footprint and will expand your horizons.

To be successful in this role you should have:
.Bachelors Degree with a major in Accounting with up to 2 years of work experience, including internships.
.Pursuing your CPA is a plus, we have a strong core team to guide you in this process.
.Strong interest in finance automation and process improvement. You enjoy using tools, tech and being creative to raise the bar within the finance community.
.Experience with and affinity for Microsoft Excel is a plus. You like to utilize Excel that help to make things easier, clearer and more understandable.
.Pro-active nature with a hands-on mentality/attitude.
