Bring your career aspirations to life with AIA!Manage the negotiation, definition, planning and delivery process of 'non-traditional' strategic partnership opportunities with venture / technology companies identified by the Group in pursuing its advancement in innovation and broadening of its core business
Leading the partnership execution and delivery process by identifying and defining tangible strategic collaboration initiatives through working with relevant LBUs and Group Office Functions and facilitating delivery of partnership objectives thereafter
  • Managing the partnership process in collaboration with strategic partners, relevant LBUs and Group functions, where appropriate, to identify and define strategic initiatives for the partnership that covers the potential target customer segments, definition of ways of working, operating rhythms and key activities
  • Hold responsibility for the continuous knowledge transfer, coordination of input and interfacing between the strategic partner and LBU / Group subject matter experts (SMEs)
  • Management and development of best practice tools and processes to support the development of compelling partnership and business propositions
  • Manage and participate in strategic collaboration workshops and meetings between strategic partners, LBUs and Group Office SMEs in facilitating discussions on collaborative pillars
  • Facilitating the preparation and / or review of strategic partnership documents, including due diligence assessments and management Q&As and business plans
  • Manage the development of strategic blueprints and business plans for strategic partnership delivery, through alignment and collaboration with LBUs and Group SMEs throughout the planning process
  • Manage the delivery roadmap of the Minimum Viable Proposition ('MVP') including prototyping, user testing, developing the feature set and go to market strategy
  • Driving the transfer of partnership activities to the LBU over an agreed period of time
  • For selected regional, high-impact partnerships, be part of a spin-off agile team to support on the ground partnership management

Communication Requirements
  • Ability to work collaboratively with LBUs and Group SMEs and with cross-functional / disciplinary teams across different geographical markets
  • Ability to engage and communicate with senior stakeholders and management teams
  • Ability to manage and work with external advisors, including financial advisors, consultants and market research advisors
  • Ability to structure and populate compelling business presentations and partnership proposals

Financial and Non-Financial Measures
  • Quality of overall transaction process including speed, accuracy, adaptability and efficiency of execution
  • Quality of best practice tools and processes that give rise to meaningful and material development of compelling partnership structures and business propositions
  • Quality of working relationships with internal senior stakeholders across the Group Office functions and BUs and external parties such as third-party advisors and business partners

Job Requirements
  • University Graduate with an excellent academic record gained from reputable University
  • Minimum ten (10) years related experience gained fromfinancial services or investment banking industries
  • Experience in major Asian markets, with a strong understanding of financial services across various dynamic environments and cultures in Asia and ability to communicate effectively with LBUs and Group SMEs on relevant business issues across Asian markets
  • Sound understanding of insurance related business and financial metrics
  • Experience and track record working with venture companies and digital ecosystems particularly around identifying areas of strategic collaboration, putting in place mutually beneficial strategic partnerships and supporting execution thereafter
  • Demonstrated leadership ability with an innovative and strategic mindset to develop compelling and creative partnership solutions and delivery of successful commercial outcomes through leveraging on collaborative relationships with key stakeholders in the process
  • Results-oriented with a proven track record in driving and achieving results
  • Strong business and commercial acumen
