About the client

Our client is a fintech company with digital content and payment business, their footprints have spread to different parts of the world and have users around the globe. Their trading volume has grown rapidly, and eager to expand further. With the changing needs of the markets and commitment towards sustainable development & growth in the regions, they are currently looking for an experienced Regulatory Compliance professional to join. The role is based in Hong Kong.
Main Duties and Responsibilities

Reporting to the Compliance Officer/MLRO who oversees compliance matters for the group, you will be taking care of regulatory compliance matters, supporting different jurisdictions on licensing and to learn about local rules and regulations. You will be the representative in facing regulatory bodies, internal and external stakeholders in various countries. You will drive and manage regulatory compliance projects and ad hoc assignments.
Other Roles and Responsibilities

  • Oversees regulatory compliance and licensing matters in different jurisdictions
  • Closely communicate and liaise with internal staff across APAC
  • Keep up to date on changes and updates regarding regulatory updates
  • Work with and support local licensing teams
  • Advise senior management as a subject matter expert in regulatory compliance
  • Identify potential regulatory compliance risks and design action plans to mitigate the risks
  • Lead and involve in regulatory compliance projects
  • Actively reach out to and communicate with regulators
  • Participate in ad hoc international projects

Candidate profile

5+ years of regulatory compliance experience in financial institutions, experience in fintech environment is a plus. Solid experience in obtaining corporate and individual licenses, good understanding in the requirements and procedures.
As one of the main compliance representatives of the company, you must possess excellent presentation and communication skills. Possess a strategic mindset, excellent risk awareness and being ethical. Embrace changes, flexible and open-minded.
