The position supports and advances the compliance goals of VMware by investigating and responding to allegations of fraud or other violations of the company's Business Conduct Guidelines or other policies. The primary responsibility is to conduct and assist investigations which may include any potential conflicts of interest, financial misconduct, bribery, export/trade compliance issues. The position is primarily responsible for the Greater China investigations portfolio but will also be responsible for assisting, as needed, with investigations in other part of the Asia Pacific / Japan (APJ) region, as well as to support various compliance efforts and litigation matters across the APJ region as may be directed. Responsibilities: Oversee the execution of investigations into allegations of violations of the company Business Conduct Guidelines or other policies by company employees and/or third parties. Conduct in-depth research on domestic and international public records. Develop and execute a clearly defined investigation plan, including o Determine objectives of the investigation o Identify and review relevant company procedures and policies o Establish case facts through interviews, reviewing and analyzing electronically stored information (including system and business records), and external databases for public information (e.g., public records, social media, etc.) and other investigative techniques and o Recommend any process and control enhancements based on the investigations findings. Prepare and/or review investigative reports and work with in-house and external counsel and other key stakeholders to communicate investigative results. Requirements: 34 years or more of professional experience as a forensic investigator (or comparable professional experience) either with a corporation, forensic investigation firm or a consulting firm Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or a related field required. Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), Certified Fraud Specialist (CFS), or Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) preferred Ability to analyze company accounting records and financial statements and understand business transactions Ability to apply forensic technology tools and techniques in forensic examinations understanding of corporate enterprise systems (e.g. Oracle, Workday, SFDC) Hands-on experience conducting interviews Possess a high energy level and strong work ethic with a commitment to continuous improvement in a dynamic and changing environment with a Compliance Investigations team that strives to exceed expectation Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills Chinese (Mandarin) and English language written and spoken fluency required Based in Mainland China Knowledge of data analytics a plus Category : Legal Subcategory: Compliance Experience: Manager and Professional Full Time/ Part Time: Full Time Posted Date: 2021-07-20 VMware Company Overview: At VMware, we believe that software has the power to unlock new opportunities for people and our planet.
