The Communications & CSR department at Deutsche Bank delivers timely, effective and open communications with the bank's stakeholders. It protects and builds the reputation and brand of the bank to ensure its continued strength, growth, and profitability. The team aims to make a positive impact as a valued and sought-after communications advisor on reputational issues across our bank.

Specifically, the Communications & CSR department partners with stakeholders at all levels of the bank on decision-making from a reputational perspective, supporting them in their dialogue with clients, employees and other stakeholders, representing Deutsche Bank as a transparent and credible partner.

Our Communications & CSR function also organizes flagship conferences and events that showcase the bank's products, services and intellectual capital develop and promote a powerful and distinctive brand based on our purpose, strategy and culture engage internal and external stakeholders with impactful Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives reinforce the positive impact of the bank through high standards of corporate responsibility and sustainability.

Your key responsibilities:

  • Provide advice and counsel to senior internal stakeholders across APAC, with a focus on the bank's Corporate Bank and Fixed Income & Currencies businesses

  • Generate compelling content across a variety of external/internal media and channels to drive positive positioning of the bank as a leading Investment Bank and Corporate Bank in APAC

  • Actively manage and execute traditional media engagement, social media strategy, etc., to raise the bank's profile across the region and in Hong Kong

  • Develop and maintain relationships with key external stakeholders (primary focus on financial/business media) in Hong Kong and around the region

  • Leverage a clear understanding of the various divisions of the bank and how they work together to deliver engaging and informative internal communications for the platform, including strong internal leadership communications

  • Collaborate as part of a closely knit integrated regional Communications team spanning a number of functions (Internal/External Communications, Brand, CSR, Events) to strengthen the bank's reputation in the region and beyond

  • Work in close coordination with relevant departments of the bank (eg key business divisions, Group Sustainability, IR, Legal, etc.) in active issues management in a proactive and timely manner

Your skills and experience:

  • Minimum 10 years experience in a corporate communications/pr agency/financial journalism role, strong preference for prior experience in a financial services firm

  • Extensive experience dealing with international media, and an active media network in Hong Kong and around the region, including financial trade media

  • Detailed understanding of the financial services industry and macroeconomics/capital markets news cycle a prerequisite, experience in fixed income and commercial banking topics a strong plus

  • Issues management experience, excellent internal/external stakeholder management, results-focused approach with strong attention to detail, grace under fire

  • Superb writing skills a must, alongside strong communication skills generally and an aptitude for multimedia storytelling (writing samples/generated content will be requested)

  • Tangible multi-channel experience (traditional media, social media, internal communications - content for intranets, newsletters, internal events, email distributions, etc)

  • Ability to manage projects through to high quality execution, meet tight deadlines, and operate in a fast-paced environment

  • Superlative people skills, collaborative can-do spirit, consummate team player
