Job Description
Are you Interested in being on the front lines of understanding and analyzing CPU and platform performance in the client market segment If so, we are looking for individuals who want to be hands-on with setting up systems for testing generating performance, power, and battery life data analyzing the results to understand why they are the way they are concisely summarizing the impact, and then making recommendations based on that analysis, to both engineering and marketing (leading to impacts on engineering, sales and marketing). This role will provide opportunities for owning and improving processes within the team.
The position is for: Permanent blue badge employees only.
A successful candidate will demonstrate and/or be differentiated by:
- Ability to build/install/debug client computer systems (including Intel internal client platforms).
- Understanding of client system and CPU architecture and what contributes to client performance and power use.
- Strong initiative, data analysis, and problem-solving skills.
- Working knowledge of benchmarks/workloads/analysis/power measurement
- Familiarity with the installation/operation/tuning of Windows and Linux.
- Clear communications skills.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related field with 3+ years of experience setting up/debugging client computer systems (including Intel internal client platforms or from components) running Windows or
Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field with 1+ years of experience setting up/debugging client computer systems (including Intel internal client platforms or from components) running Windows.
