Job Description



Office :Kowloon West Cluster
Pay : HK$15,751 - HK$24,518 (HGPS Point 2 - 9) per month including Monthly Allowance. (See Remarks Item 3)
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Handle patient registration and fee collection.
  2. Provide clerical support including data entry, day end/monthly reconciliation, distribution of incoming/outgoing correspondences, filing, record keeping, etc.
  3. Assist in petty cash payments and replenishment.
  4. Follow up outstanding debts and process waivers.
  5. Handle enquiries from internal and external customers.
  6. Collect, verify and compile statistics/reports.
  7. Need to work on shift.
  8. Other duties assigned by supervisor(s).

Entry Requirements:
  1. (a) Passes in 5 subjects in the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination including English Language (Syllabus B), Chinese Language and Mathematics, or equivalent.

OR
(b) 5 subjects in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education attaining the level specified below:
- Level 2 in English Language, Chinese Language and Mathematicsand
- Level 2 in New Senior Secondary subjects/ Attained in Applied Learning subjects/Grade E in Other Language subjects or equivalent.
  1. Ability to perform typing, word processing and/or Chinese word processing.

Preferable Attributes / Exposure:
  1. 3 years clerical experience with good knowledge of the functions and operations in finance and accounting.
  2. Possess accounting and cashier experience will be an advantage.
  3. Hands on experience of HA financial systems such as PBRC, OPAS, FCS, SFMS and Oracle.
  4. Good computer knowledge in MS office, e.g. Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc.
  5. Knowledge of common office automation, e.g. operation of fax machine.
  6. Good command of both spoken and written English and Chinese (Mandarin).
  7. Honest, reliable, self-motivated, independent and good interpersonal & communication skill.

Remarks:
For HA Serving staff
  1. Serving staff who have completed F.5 / S.5 or equivalent and have 2 years clerical experience within HA may also be considered.
  2. The candidate selected will be offered either contract or fixed term appointment for1 to 3 yearsdepending on his/her existing employment terms. Serving contract employee will be offered contract employment with an up to 15% total basic salary (after deducting the contribution of Mandatory Provident Fund by Hospital Authority) as end-of-contract gratuity upon satisfactory completion of the contract. Serving permanent employee will be offered a fixed term appointment after which the employee may be reverted back to his/her former substantive rank.
  3. The offer of salary and allowance (Cash Allowance, Fixed-flexi Allowance or Monthly Allowance) for serving employees upon changes in appointment will be made in accordance with prevailing policies.

For External Applicants
  1. Selected candidate will be offered contract term appointment for1 to 3 years. Up to 15% of total basic salary (after deducting the contribution of Mandatory Provident Fund by Hospital Authority) as end-of-contract gratuity may be offered upon completion of contract with satisfactory performance.
  2. Retiring / retired HA staff who wish to continue working for HA after their normal retirement may also apply. If selected, the terms and conditions of employment will be offered in accordance with prevailing policies of the Retired and Rehire Mechanism of HA.
