Clerk I/II (holding the functional title of Senior Executive Assistant/Executive Assistant) in the Department of Medicine and the State Key Laboratory of Pharmaceutical Biotechnology (Ref.: 502604) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis or one-year temporary basis, with the possibility of renewal)
Applicants should possess a Higher Diploma or above, with 5 passes in HKCEE including English (min. Grade C if Syllabus A/Level 2 from 2007), Chinese (min. Grade C/Level 2 from 2007) and Mathematics, OR min. Level 4 in Chinese Language and min. Level 2 or equivalent in 4 subjects in HKDSEE including English Language and Mathematics. They should have a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Cantonese and Putonghua), and strong interpersonal and communication skills. They should also be responsible, independent, detail-oriented, and able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Those with lower qualifications may be considered for appointment as Clerk II.
The appointee will conduct daily management of the State Key Laboratory and organize multiple research events such as seminars, symposiums and master classes. He/She will be responsible for laboratory consumables; equipment procurement; research products distribution; and financial matters such as invoices, reimbursement claims, and funding management and annual funding report drafting. A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. The appointment on fixed-term basis will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary.
