The Greater China tax team is a key part of Oracle’s world-class operation and is closely integrated with tax organization headquartered in San Francisco Bay area.  This progressive and innovative team comprises a dynamic group of tax professionals responsible for Oracle’s business partnering, tax compliance, tax planning, M%26amp;A integration, transfer pricing and tax controversies as well as supporting and liaising with other functions in the region.
We are looking for a highly motivated individual to assist the team in the focused areas of tax planning and audits for Greater China entities.  This role will be reporting to Senior Tax Director, Greater China region.

lProvide tax advice and support on business requests, new business initiatives or models arising from time to time in the operation of all the business entities in Greater China region
lManage various tax audits and enquiries and prepare/verify accurate and effective audit responses and submission for audits/queries from tax authorities and Customs authorities
lProvide support on various M%26amp;A and planning projects in Greater China region and coordinate with relevant stakeholders to ensure that the planning projects and M%26amp;A integration plans are implemented as agreed
lProvide tax input and suggestion to support the de-registration/liquidation of acquired entities with appropriate level of tax efficiency
lWork with cross functional teams and local/global tax team members on necessary process improvements to minimize tax risks which may be identified in the course of tax audits or implementation of planning %26amp; M%26amp;A projects;
lCoordinate with tax team members and relevant business partners (including but not limited to Finance, Legal, Treasury, etc.) to develop and document tax policies/process to optimize the Company’s tax position
lPrepare/Submit the documents and information required for HQ audit or planning reporting
lSupport the team’s other work, when needed
lManage work of external advisors and team member to ensure the timely deliverables with high quality
lBuild up cordial and professional relationships with tax authorities and Customs authorities


lMinimum 10 years tax experience obtained working as a full time tax professional for multinational, or in one of the Big Four;  Experience in both Big Four and multinational is more preferable.
lSignificant tax and financial knowledge and experience in the area of direct taxation, together with an understanding of the interaction with indirect taxes;
lThorough knowledge of business controls in a tax environment;
lThorough knowledge of tax accounting in Group Accounts;
lAbility to organize and manage many tasks simultaneously;
lSound judgment and good interpersonal skills;
lComprehensive understanding of Oracle financial accounting and reporting directives;
lStrong communication skills and can demonstrate necessary authority in different situations;
lStrong sense of responsibility, proactive and dedicated; and
lGood team player


lBachelor’s degree in Accounting or Tax;
lQualification of Certified Public Accountant or Certified Tax Agent - preferred
lFluent in PRC tax regulations, tax practices and accounting principles; and
Fluent in English, written and oral.
Detailed Description and Job Requirements
Manage and coordinate internal and external resources to implement company tax savings strategies. Ensure accurate and timely filing of tax returns. Manages a professional staff.
Be an integral partner in Oracle%27s business decisions to enhance shareholder value by providing tax-related advice globally to all business units. Develop and implement systems to compile information for various federal, state, local, and international reports. Represent the company on tax matters in government, professional, and industry associations. Performs or directs research; analysis and interpretation of federal, state, and local statutes. Manages and oversees international tax laws and regulations. May be involved with tax implications of mergers and acquisitions.
Assists in the development of short, medium, and long term plans to achieve strategic objectives. Regularly interacts across functional areas with senior management or executives to ensure unit objectives are met. Ability to influence thinking or gain acceptance of others in sensitive situations. Maintain current knowledge of all tax laws affecting Oracle. Strong business and tax technical skills needed. Detail oriented, analytical, and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast paced environment. Ability to work with outside advisors. Experience with computer tax systems. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrated leadership and project management skills. Experience in public accounting firm and/or high technology industry. BA/BS in Accounting or Finance. CPA and or MS/MBA tax preferred.
