Job Description Summary
The Service Sourcing Leader role covering LSI/Install/Field category is pivotal in driving savings and efficiencies through management of their assigned category and supply base. The role is critical in supporting the Sales and Service teams to provide third party products and services to fulfil customer requirements and on time delivery of the GEHC solutions. The role supports region-based business leaders, their teams, and other GE Business Sourcing Leaders for shared spend. The candidate uses prior experience/expertise to execute functional strategy leverages in-depth understanding of business strategy to accomplish work. Should be a leader with ability to negotiate agreements and write contracts as well as maximize returns from spot buy. Has knowledge of best practices, is aware of external market forces and factors that differentiate them Has technical and analytical abilities to solve problems.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Partnering with key business stakeholders to ensure sourced material and services meet the needs of the business and our customers.
  • Develops solutions and delivers on Priorities for the designated scope. Maintains metrics for their sourcing local scope and identifies new areas of opportunity to deliver or exceed targets.
  • Implement Sourcing strategy for their scope in line with global initiatives.
  • Responsible for risk management in their supplier base ensuring all compliance and quality standards are met.
  • Liaise across the organization to understand /share best practices and leverage expertise.
  • Identify and own local and cross SBU supply base. Leverage category contracts into assigned SBU to maximize opportunities.
  • Drive business metrics affected by Service Sourcing, identify new areas of cost out and implement operating efficiency.
  • Provide feedback and support to other sourcing leaders.
  • Interface with SBUs and other GE Businesses on cross business projects
  • Provide appropriate contract coverage for goods and services in the region. Be proficient executing the GEHC legal templates and negotiating terms and conditions, service levels and pricing with suppliers.
  • Drive compliance with Preferred Suppliers across the country scope and work with stakeholders to reduce leakage

Quality Specific Goals:
  • Aware of and comply with the GEHC Quality Manual, Quality Management System, Quality Management Policy, Quality Goals, and applicable laws and regulations as they apply to this job type/position
  • Identify and report any quality or compliance concerns and take immediate corrective action as required
  • Knowledge and understanding of GEHC Purchasing Controls Procedure and associated Work Instructions and operates within them to ensure that all purchased product and services conform to specified requirements.
  • Develop and maintain a fully qualified and compliant supply base.

  • Formal sourcing qualification / Engineering degree/ and /or relevant master's degree
  • 4 years of commercial sourcing experience.
  • Delivered savings and deployed initiatives projects
  • Is able to work in English (Spoken and written)
  • Shown ability to lead virtual teams.
  • Willing to travel.

  • Tenacious, strong negotiator, good communicator at all levels and across different cultures.
  • Proven ability to execute and deliver on commitments and targets
  • Great stakeholder management - able to understand internal customers needs and CTQ's and deliver them from the supplier base
  • Can work in a matrix and under pressure against deadlines CTQ's and deliver them from the supplier base
  • Able to balance priorities and pivot when necessary
  • Greenbelt or Black Belt certification preferred.
  • Graduate of GE leadership programs
