Job Purpose and Impact
The Trade Product Control Consultant II will assist leadership in highly complex decision support activities. In this role, you will partner with leadership, businesses and functions to implement a global trade product control strategy, enable the delivery of services with excellence and provide insights and analytics in commodity, derivatives or foreign exchange trading risks. You will foster strong business relationships and ensure activities comply with accounting, compliance, legal, tax, risk management and regulatory requirements related to the type of solution and countries in scope or related to structures for new business or new product offerings.
Key Accountabilities
  • Drive continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to optimize processes and reporting, leveraging technology and influencing decisions to enable standardization and developing and implementing key performance metrics across the whole company.
  • Partner collaboratively with trade product control consultants and analysts to ensure accuracy of position and reporting, compliance reporting and profit and loss statements including risk analysis and exposure monitoring.
  • Provide business expertise and information to stakeholders about hedging decisions impacting the business results and provide technical data and analysis to influence decision making and financial and management reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory agency policies and processes and key contracts, including participating in audits, monitoring compliance with pre-established internal limits, communicating breaches and promptly tracking root cause and corrective actions.
  • Partner with key stakeholders to develop and execute the trading risk management strategy of commodity, derivatives or foreign exchange, developing plans and processes to effectively manage data, reporting, and compliance activities across the business with a global mindset.
  • Provide expert thought leadership in your field and work with limited direction, using additional research and interpretation to identify issues or problems. You may provide direction to supporting team members and be a strategic contributor.
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • Broad and in depth knowledge in trade product control or adjacent function in a trading environment
  • Confirmed experience of using technology to improve process and control
  • Confirmed accounting experience with good technical knowledge
  • Minimum of six years of related work experience
  • Other minimum qualifications may apply

  • Master's degree in business, finance or accounting

  • Contribute and implement continuous process improvements, including simplifying and optimizing processes and improving data integrity leveraging current technology.
  • Conduct analysis to identify risks and interpret the results to the business.
