Petra Oil a bitumen trading company headquartered in Dubai UAE is looking for a highly motivated Business Development Manager to join our start up division based in Shanghai China. This opportunity presents the right candidate to join a fast-growing company while expanding their career in research, business development and operations.

The Business Development Manager will develop and build new client relationships along with expanding the company's market opportunities in bitumen trading with Chinese based contractors who perform operations globally.
This position will be expected to drive an increase in company revenue through expansion of new work opportunities in coordination with the Executive Team. This candidate MUST have prior research, sales & lead generating experience in the commercial construction industry.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Research construction companies who will be using products the company offers
• Utilize database, scheduling and activities in order to provide constant communication
• Cold call contractors via phone and set up video conferences as well as meetings
• Attend networking opportunities and tradeshows events
• Establish and nurture strategic business partnerships and customer relationships
• Develop and maintain relationships with potential partners which may include: targeted customers, partner companies, community leaders, equipment manufacturers and engineering firms.
• Travel locally and internationally as requested by the company.
• Follow up with existing clients and develop relationships.
• Set up Marketing Campaigns and Implement/Test results
• Use the appropriate level of forethought and planning in decision-making to assure project success
• Maintain appropriate transparency of business development activities with management to ensure an objective review of methodology, metrics and ratable results

Job Requirements:

• MBA in Business required
• 5+ years of experience Business Development in Sales
• 3+ years of Commercial Construction Industry experience
• 5+ years of Marketing or related experience preferred
• Demonstration of a consistent achievement of customer acquisition and sales revenue targets
• Ability to maintain strong sales management focus during longer sales cycles
• Ability to work both independently and within highly motivated teams
• Demonstrated ability to manage often complex negotiations
• Experienced in selling projects ranging from $50k - $2m
• Understanding of project projections
• Excellent knowledge of the local subcontract and supplier market.
• Competency in intermediate to advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Office products
• BS in Business, Marketing, Construction Management or related field not required but highly recommended.
